STAINED GLASS ARTIST - Claire
I have worked as a stained glass artist for 20 years. Living and working in beautiful north wales, I am surrounded by breathtaking sea scapes, mountain ranges, and nature in its pure unfiltered beauty. This landscape influences my designs and choices of materials. Stained glass is a wonderful medium to work with and I am inspired by the different colours, light, and textures that can be achieved.

We have been so fortunate at Ysgol Henblas to be able to work with Claire. Claire has a wonderful and amazing vision and as a result of her close co-operation with the young pupils two beautiful stained glass windows were created for one of the classes. This special relationship began due to Claire volunteering to help during the class visit to Beaumaris castle which coincided with the theme being studied at the time. Claire and the pupils were inspired by the trip and it was Claire who suggested that a window be created for the class.
Following her consultation with the pupils and listening to their ideas she took time to work on the windows. The result has transformed the class and the pupils are inspired due to the wonderful light that flows inside due to the magical colours and stunning artwork. We hope we can work with Claire again in the future. We as staff and most importantly the pupils thoroughly recommend Gwydr Môn Glass and Claire’s fabulous work and creations. Claire is a very talented woman and is amazing at what she does. As a friend, she came to the school to work with the children and on their ideas for a stained glass windows. The children presented their garden theme ideas to Claire and she went away and worked her magic. Words can’t explain how wonderful the stained glass windows are. We are blown away. Whoever comes to visit the classroom they all comment how wonderful the windows are. The stained glass designs are of high standard and so very professional. We can’t thank Claire enough.
